“As a man of God, a husband, a father, and someone who is trying to do my very best to figure it out along the way - I can truly appreciate the information that I have been blessed to receive. It takes true talent to comprise dense information into not only a presentation which is digestible, but also relatable. This has been so fruitful that it is actively encouraging men, who have been meeting for the very first time, to openly share/grow in very organic but also transparent ways. I can’t wait for the next engagement!”

Sean N, Sr.

As an introvert, I used to keep everything in. Through this experience, I realized that sharing isn’t weakness — it’s strength. I learned I’m not alone, and that growth happens when men are willing to be honest with themselves and each other. The focus on gratitude shifted my perspective; instead of staying stuck in what was missing, I began to see what was present and working in my life. Each session and presentation gave me clarity about my story — what happened, how it shaped me, and how I can move forward with purpose. The space felt safe, real, and empowering. My walls came down, and I walked away stronger, more self-aware, and more intentional as a man.

I’m grateful I brought my grandson to work with Mr. Jones. I truly believe the guidance and mentorship he’s received will shape him in ways that support his confidence and long-term success. I’ve seen growth in his mindset and how he carries himself. As an older man, I’ve also attended the online mindfulness workshops and found them valuable for my own growth. They’ve helped me become more aware of my reactions and more intentional in how I respond to life. His work doesn’t just impact individuals.

Lawrence is both an inspiration and a motivator in entrepreneurship and leadership. Having walked the path himself, he understands what it takes to overcome obstacles and succeed with integrity. As a supervisor and mentor, he generously shares his expertise while operating with clinical excellence and purpose. He is a leader who models both competence and character.

Anthony B. Pinkney, LCPC

As a woman in her later years of life learning to incorporate gratitude into my daily routine has deepened both my mindset and my faith. I’ve learned to see growth even in difficult seasons. The sessions created a safe and encouraging space to reflect, reset, and move forward with purpose. Gratitude is no longer just a concept — it’s a lifestyle shift for me.

As a mother of two and as a wife emotional awareness has been freeing. Instead of reacting out of stress, I’ve learned to pause and reflect. It has improved my mindset, my relationships, and even the way I speak to myself. The work feels practical, empowering, and sustainable.

Practicing gratitude through Lawrence’s guidance has completely shifted my perspective. I used to focus on what was missing, but now I’m more aware of what is present and working in my life. The gratitude tools he shared helped me respond to challenges with clarity instead of emotion. I feel more grounded, more hopeful, and more intentional in how I show up daily.

Working with Lawrence Jones has truly been a gift in my professional journey. He was my supervisor when I was an intern, and even now as a private practice owner, he continues to be someone I deeply respect and rely on. Lawrence has a way of supporting you while also challenging you to grow. He helps you think, reflect, and stretch in ways that make you better. I’ve always felt safe bringing my questions, doubts, and big goals to him. What I appreciate most is that his guidance doesn’t stop when the formal role ends. Years later, he is still someone I can call for direction, encouragement, and honest feedback. He cares about people becoming their best and not just as clinicians, but as leaders. I’m grateful for his continued support and the role he has played in shaping my confidence and growth as a professional.

“Lawrence and I share the same vision for Black men and fathers. His commitment to developing strong fathers through Fathers Leadership Lab complements my work coaching parents on the holistic development and successful launch of our Black boys into society as productive contributors. His work helps fathers raise their leadership standard at home, break generational patterns, and lead their families with purpose and faith.”

I’ve had the opportunity to hear several of Lawrence’s presentations, and what stands out is his ability to connect practical mental performance strategies with real-life challenges. His insights are both motivating and actionable, helping individuals develop stronger focus, resilience, and confidence. Anyone looking to grow personally or professionally would benefit from hearing him speak.
